Cornets 98.6 take their name from Psalm 98 verse 6
With trumpets and the sound of the horn
make a joyful noise before the King, the LORD!
So,
with 16 cornet players lined up behind the band we certainly hope we made a joyful
noise before the King.

The sixteen men were also in good voice as they sang “Rock of Ages”
Derby
Central Band accompanied the Cornet players in the pieces mentioned above and the
music had been adapted and written to include parts for all the cornet players.

truly wonderful and different evening for all who attended.
