John Floyd
John joined the band in 1986, before retirement he was the Chief Executive of the
Rowley Group based in Leicester with units in Uttoxeter Road (Derby), Wirksworth,
Ollerton, Ipswich and Morocco. Now a Non Exec of Erewash PCT and a Magistrate at
South Derbyshire.
He is married to Jennifer a songster and they have 2 children Andrew
and Nicola with five Grand children including triplets.
Currently the CSM of Derby
Central plus an active member in the Songster Brigade.
Johns banding career commenced
at his home corps of Weston Super Mare, moved to Ilkeston after being married where
at different times he held the positions of Deputy BM, Songster leader, YP band leader
and lastly Bandmaster.
