

Clive Purkiss
Joined the band in 1991.
Professional engineer; retired in 2001 following a career in the steel and ports industries.
Originally from Regent Hall Corps, Clive then moved to Harrow Corps where he received his band training under the baton of Stan Raikes and later became Assistant Bandleader and Deputy Songster Leader.
He then moved to Stockton Corps where he became Songster Leader, returned to Harrow where he was again appointed Songster Leader, then to Leighton Buzzard (Deputy Songster Leader). Finally moved to Derby Central where he has been Deputy Bandmaster for 10 Years.
Married to Margaret with two sons, both called David (explanation available on request!), (one a Graphic designer, and other a Music Graduate) both play cornet.
Clive is also a member of Salvo Brass (1st Horn)
