Dennis Handley

 

Joined the band in 1981

Retired human resources officer. Married to Valerie and has three grown up children, Ian, Joanne and Stuart. Also has five grand children - four girls and one boy. Two of his granddaughters have just started to learn cornet.

Dennis is looking forward to completing fifty years as an Salvation Army Bandsman in the summer of 2007. He joined Derby Central after serving as a Bandsman at Derby Temple since 1957.

His banding career has afforded him many avenues of service including assistant young peoples band leader, band leader, deputy bandmaster, bandmaster and band secretary.
